As of October 1, 2024, city offices are open and operating as usual. That being said, we wanted to update the community on resources to help in the wake of this disaster. Follow the latest updates on our Facebook page.

Debris cleanup is now underway. Our Public Services Department is working as quickly as it can and is considering ways to bring in additional equipment to speed up the process. We are working in collaboration with Greenville County, Spartanburg County, and FEMA on continued cleanup.

Homeowners and renters can apply for FEMA assistance through DisasterAssistance.gov, the FEMA App, or by calling 800-621-3362. City employees cannot complete this process for you. We do have laptops available at City Hall for the community to use for FEMA applications. There are electric plug-ins in City Park along the promenade. Anyone in need of a charge is welcome to plug in.

Greer Relief and the Indigo Hope Neighborhood Impact Center lobby is open for charging, wifi, water, bathrooms, and food relief distribution. They need food donations and volunteers. Please reach out to Tom at news@greerrelief.org if you would like more information on dropping off donations or volunteering.

We appreciate everyone's patience and grace as we work toward some normalcy. Please remember, that many of our employees were also severely impacted by this storm and have been working tirelessly to do their part.
